Question - Is there a minimum stay at The Torcroft Apartments?
Answer - Yes, minimum stay is for two nights.
Weekly Discount offering 10% off and if you want to stay longer give us a call. During winter months longer term lets at discounted prices.
Question - Best way to book?
Answer - Best value is to Book Direct. If you find a cheaper price let us know and we will beat it. Booking.com, Hotels.com and AirBnB charge you to use them, so save yourslf some money and book right here!
Question - Any additional charges?
Answer - £25 fee per stay to bring your pet.
No charges for amenities. Please remember to switch off heaters and lights, particularly on departure day.
Please help us save energy and keep prices competitive.
Question - Cancellation policy?
Answer - Full refund if you cancel more than 7 days before arrival.
Less than 7 days before arrival guests are not liable for a refund.
Please inform us as soon as possible if your plans change.
Arrival & Departure
Question - What time can I check in?
Answer - Check in is 4pm.
Guests can use car park any time after 11:00 on arrival. On arrival if the key is in the key safe the apartmnet is ready, so let yourself in.
Question - Can I check in early?
Answer - We always work with guests as much as we can. We do not guarantee early check in, but often apartments are ready before 4pm. So let us know your plans before your arrival to see if we can help.
Question - What do we need to do on departure?
Answer - Leave the key, close the windows and lock the front door. Please leave the flat tidy and let us know if there is anything that needs our attention prior to the next arrival. And don't forget your chargers!
Question - What time is check out?
Answer - Check out is 10:30. On occasion we are able to extend this but we can not guarantee this, particularly during high season.
Please note we do not have an option to store left luggage.
Parking
Question - On-site parking?
Answer - Yes, we have a private on-site car park for our guests.
Please note we can not be responsible for vehicles at Bedford House
Question - Can I park more than 1 car?
Answer - No, there is only 1 space per apartment, and during summer it is full daily. There is roadside parking free in evenings and at weekends.
In quieter months let us know if you need an additional space, as sometimes we can accommodate this.
Question - Are there parking spaces for everyone?
Answer - When we are full Bedford House can accommodate a maximum of 4 cars.
When our car park is full guests staying in Apartment 6 are politely asked to park at our neighbours, The Sommerville, which is a 2 minute walk.
Question - Can I charge my Electric Vehicle at Bedford House?
Answer - No, as we don't have an EV charger on site.
Bedford House is near to a charging point and the closest one is located at 3 Montpellier Rd, Torquay, TQ1 1DL (a 5 minute walk).
Bringing your pet
Question - What facilities are there for pets?
Answer - We leave a welcome box which has bowls, a blanket and a few dog treats for the stay. There is a lawn on the side terrace, up the steps by the porch areas. All guests share the gardens and we politely ask guests leave the garden tidy.
Question - Can I leave my pet during my stay?
Answer - Our policy requests pets are not left for extended periods, or at all if anxious or a dog prone to barking. As Bedford House is shared we ask guests to be responsible and ensure every pet enjoys a safe and comfortable stay. And do let us know if accidents happen!
Question - Is there a maximum number of pets I can bring?
Answer - Our policy states that guests can bring a maximum of 2 pets. Additional requests may be agreed but please call us to discuss this prior to booking.
Question - Where can I walk my dog?
Answer - Torwood Gardens, a lovely park opposite, is perfect for a short walk. Torbay Council website advertises year round dog friendly beaches and dates when all our beaches are dog friendly.
During your stay
Question - What amenities are in each apartment?
Answer - Our apartments are fully furnished with modern amenities including external security cameras, high-speed internet and flat-screen TVs. Our kitchens are well equipped for your stay including crockery, a microwave, fridge/freezer, oven and hob.
Question - Do I need to bring my own towels and bed linen?
Answer - We proivde 2 pillows per person and a duvet, and our bed linen is Johnson's Elite Range We provide a large bath towel for each guest and a hand towel and bath matt in each bathroom or en-suite.
Question - What else do you provide?
Answer - A complimentary Welcome Pack which includes tea bags, coffee bags, sugar and milk sticks. We also provide toilet rolls, washing up liquid and dishwasher tabs for a weekend stay.
Please note we do not advertise to provide the above during longer stays, so you may need to pick up or bring more from home.
Question - Where can I find Quick Answers?
Answer - Guests sometimes contact us for Wifi passwords, door key codes and how to use the heating and hot water. Please note all information can be found in emails or guest information provided.

Question - What do I do if we need something?
Answer - Some answers are in guest information or emails. On arrival we text to say Hi and provide our mobile number, to contact us. We aim to respond quickly and find it more helpful to resolve issues during a stay rather than learning about them in a review. We want everyone to have a great stay, so let us know if you need anything!
Question - What if our stay is being disturbed?
Answer - We ask all guests to be mindful that everyone is sharing Bedford House. During your stay if there is excessive noise or you are being disturbed please contact us and we will try to resolve. We think everyone should enjoy their stay and consider each other.
Question - What if an accident happens?
Answer - Sometimes things happen and we always help when they do, so let us know if there are any mishaps. We often have guests arrive soon after you leave so it really helps to let us know if anything needs our attention as soon as possible.
Question - Should I leave feedback and a review?
Answer - Reviews are essential to share your experience and inform future guests. On occasion we get negative comments about things we have no knowledge of during a stay, so if you need something addressed please tell us so we can resolve. We want everyone to have the best time, love Torquay and provide great accommodation!
